Where it began

It started as an experiment.
It ended as proof.

Summer 2026 was Maekido's first major season — a test of one simple belief: that students learn best by making. Here's what that looked like, program by program, moment by moment.

Beginners UI/UX Design

From zero to Figma —
in two weeks.

Most students had never opened Figma before. By the end, every single one had a complete app prototype they could show anyone. The final presentation was electric.

  • Built complete app wireframes in Figma
  • Ran real user-research interviews with classmates
  • Presented final designs to parents and guests

"I realised that UI/UX isn't just about apps — it's about understanding people and creating with compassion. It really expanded my horizons. What surprised me most was seeing how these principles can be applied in everyday life."

— Advaitananda Reddy Surapureddy, Grade 12 · NASR Boys School · UI/UX Design

Gamers Lab · Board Game Design

They didn't just play games —
they made them.

Students explored the complete game design process — learning mechanics, balancing player experience, and building original board games that others could play and enjoy.

  • Designed an original game from scratch to prototype
  • Learned systems thinking through game mechanics
  • Ran playtests and iterated on real feedback

"I really loved designing my own board game. I learnt that making a board game involves so many elements like game mechanics, game dynamics, design, and storytelling."

— Shree Krishna Talla, Grade 8 · Chirec · Gamers Lab

Patience, patterns,
and pure creativity.

What began as an art workshop became a space for patience, precision, and self-expression, with students completely absorbed in creating intricate Dot Mandalas and Mirror Mosaics.

  • Mastered the fundamentals of Dot Mandala art and Mirror Mosaic artworks
  • Applied colour theory in creative compositions
  • Presented their creations at the final showcase

"Besides learning new techniques, I made great friends and discovered that creating Dot Mandalas is something I want to keep doing."

Project Abhay · Legal Literacy

Learn the law by
practising it.

From analysing real cases to presenting arguments in a courtroom simulation, students experienced the legal profession firsthand while developing critical thinking and persuasive communication.

  • Explored rights, laws, and landmark legal cases
  • Built argumentation and legal writing skills
  • Presented as lawyers in a final Moot Court simulation

"I've always been interested in law as a career, and this program showed me how much effort it actually takes to become a lawyer. I'm still excited about pursuing law — in fact, this program has convinced me even more."

— Vaanika Gupta, Grade 8 · Sancta Maria International School · Legal Literacy
